On December 14, 2021, a tripartite Memorandum between the Mykola Babak Foundation, the Ukrainian House and the Cherkasy Art Museum on the implementation of the project “Contemporary Art of Ukraine. Museum collection” was signed. Following the signed document, the first major presentation of the project will take place in March 2022 at the Ukrainian House. Formation of the Collection of Contemporary Art of Ukraine goes on
The Mykola Babak Foundation continues to work on the formation of the Collection of Contemporary Art of Ukraine, which is based at the Cherkasy Art Museum. The Foundation has already donated more than 100 works by contemporary Ukrainian artists to the museum for permanent display. See more in the video by Suspilne TV

Gift to the Cherkasy Art Museum
On August 18, the General Director of the Mykola Babak Foundation presented the Cherkasy Art Museum with 9 works of middle-scale sculptures from his own collection. Among the donated items are 2 works “Makosh” and “Tree of Life” by sculptor-ceramist Mykola Churukanov (1947 – 2021). Other art objects were created by a member of the Union of Folk Masters of Ukraine, Honored Master of Folk Art of Ukraine, potter and artist Serhiy Radko. The donated objects of art have already taken their honorable places in the permanent exposition of the decorative and applied department of the museum. See more in the video by Suspilne TV

The Mykola Babak Foundation is initiating the creation of the Collection of Contemporary Art of Ukraine
Within the framework of the signed agreement on cooperation between the Mykola Babak Foundation and the Cherkasy Art Museum, represented by the director Olga Gladun, the Foundation initiates the creation of a permanent exhibition of contemporary art of Ukraine on the basis of the museum. To this end, the Museum Directorate has decided to provide its own space for the exhibition. There are intentions and there is hope that the Museum of Contemporary Art will be in the heart of Ukraine! The advent of culture coincides with the birth of intelligence (Claude Levi-Strauss). Opening of “Intermission”, the 17th International Exhibition of Contemporary Art
On May 11, at 4 pm, the Cherkasy Art Museum hosted the opening of the 17th International Exhibition of Contemporary Art “Intermission”. The exhibition featured works by 33 artists from 25 countries.
