MYKOLA BABAK FOUNDATION

“Folk icon of the Middle-Upper-Dnieper Region of the 18th – 20th c. in the Context of the Village Cultural Space” is the illustrated album-monograph, which points out the phenomenon of the folk icon of the Central Ukraine, including Cherkasy, Poltava, Kropyvnytskyi regions and the south of Kyiv region.  The monograph has got a number of awards:

– Best book of Publishers’ Forum in Lviv (2009)

– “Best book of 2009” of the XI All-Ukrainian rating “Best Book” and Grand-Prize

-The authors of the monograph, artist Mykola Babak and art critic Olexandr Naiden, had awarded the National Shevchenko Prize
