„Hryhoriy Shevchenko – Master of Photopainting, Descendant of the Shevchenko Family” deals with Taras Shevchenko’s nephew-in-law. He occupied with the photo during the period of the 19th and 20th c. and had registered the authentic places and people of that times. Hryhoriy Shevchenko created a number of photos, the main part of which depict the prominent places connected to Taras Shevchenko’s life and his last resting place. These photos depict the views of the village of Kyrylyvka, house of Taras Shevcheno’s parents, inhabitants of Kyrylyvka, who personally knew T.Shevchenko, and his last resting place – Taras Hill. Hryhoriy Shevchenko made photos of the Ukrainian village landscapes with houses, mills, chumacks, harvest time, pastures, typical scenes of market places, weddings, including architypical beautiful village girls in flower wreaths, coral and dukach necklaces, young men, traveling musicians, beggars, big families of several generations. Mykola Babak had gathered about 100 authentic H.Shevchenko’s photos and postcards, which are the object of a separate analysis for the first time.
